Great Britain made it two wins from two to start FIBA U20 European Championship Division B with a battling 66-56 triumph against Republic of Ireland in Chalkida, Greece on Saturday.
There was little between the teams for much of the contest before Kyle Carey and Jules Dang Akodo took control of the game during the fourth quarter.
Carey led GB with 18 points to supplement captain Dang Akodo's tremendous all-round effort which yielded 14 points, nine rebounds and four assists.
Irish talent Jordan Blount threatened to spark a fight-back, finishing with a game-high 20 points.
But Andreas Kapoulas' side showed real composure under pressure and Callum Lawson connected on a key three-pointer to extend the lead to seven points with two minutes to play and put the result beyond doubt.
The victory boosts hopes of a second-place finish in the six-team Group C and a place in the quarter-finals.
Great Britain are next in action against Kosovo at 1000 BST on Sunday.
