Personal:

Anderson attended Portobello High School in Edinburgh where she was first introduced to the sport. Cites Donna Finnie, her Scotland coach at Under-18 level, and former Edinburgh coach Brian Findlay, as huge influences. She is the youngest of four children. Her elder brother Kenny is a boxer who won a gold medal at light-heavyweight at the 2006 Commonwealth Games before turning professional. Father was an amateur boxer. Favourite musicians are Beyoncé and Zac Brown band. Would love to be a food critic.

Trivia:

While completing her degree in 2011, Anderson competed in rowing for Central Oklahoma in collegiate competition.
